Howdy howdy followers of Futariuum’s Gate!

It’s been a while since we’ve delivered an update to you, and that’s because we’re cooking real hard in the Gloomy Washer kitchen on our next transformative update of the game. It begins to bear fruit today, as we have a terrific beta test version of v0.40 for you all to try!

Firstly, we’re now calling this v0.40, as opposed to the previous version number of v0.35. As we developed v0.35, we originally set out to make a systems update with minimal story and additional content, but as we kept at it, the scope of that build expanded beyond what we could possibly imagine.

This beta reflects what we intended to do with v0.35 - a complete, total, from-scratch rebuild of the battle system to change it into a card battler RPG, where the player as Maya selects attacking, defensive and status-altering moves from a hand of cards drawn from a deck each turn. We have three distinct battles with enemies originating from the previous builds of the game, weaved throughout the story and replayable after their first encounters. We’ll continue rolling out tests over time as we continue to work on v0.40, and our final release will contain new story content, CGs and dungeons for you to see and discover.

We've just hit an important milestone for our game - the demo for Futariuum's Gate is now available to download ! Check it out in the links attached!

This demo gives a taste into both sides of the game, featuring our new card battle RPG combat gameplay in the Demon Hunter section, and a small slice of Maya's Sphere in the Daily Life section. For anyone who doesn't have access to the v0.40 beta, this will give you a preview into the card battle gameplay.

Overall, we’re immensely proud of our work on this new version and we cannot wait to see what feedback you have for us on this new beta release. Although we’ve established and developed our new systems in-depth, your response is critical to us making it the best it can be.
